...that I was SKINNY! It felt great - while it lasted. It did give me a surge of motivation. In my dream, which I can't even remember what it was about, I was super toned and healthy. I was sad, however, when I woke up to find my rolly polly self lying in bed and not the healthy and fit me I had been in my dreams. One day I WILL be that woman!
I am excited for the new year. I don't ever remember being so excited this time of year. So many goals that I want to reach and am excited to reach. I can not wait to see the person I am meant to be.
I went on my walk today. It was COLD. I believe it was about 46 degrees. Normally, I would have told myself that skipping is justified because if the temperature, but not anymore! I had my peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch today. Held me over ok until dinner. I made spaghetti and meat sauce and only ate about half of what I used to suck down. Yay me! Small victories, but they feel so good.
I procrastinated with this posting, so I'm doing it from my phone (didn't feel like breaking out the laptop) and it's kind of hard to see what I'm typing. So, until next time...

As for exercise, I haven’t been able to
work out since the 17th because my two itty-bitties weren’t feeling
well through the Christmas holiday. =( BUT I am down an extra 1.2 lbs from last
week so that puts me at 170 lbs even but my goal is 167 by January 1st. =)
Even though I didn’t do well at all
with exercise, I was able to stay close to my weight watchers point numbers and
that resulted in the 1.2lb loss.
Anyhow, I had a wonderful Christmas with my family! HOPE EVERYONE ELSE DID!!!

New Year and New Me
I was in a MAJOR funk all week. I was an emotional disaster. But, I'm back to being me today. Yay for that! I did not exercise as much as I should have. But, I didn't allow myself to dive into foods either. I haven't really been finding that I get hungry. I think it helps that when I start to get that, "I'm going to want a snack soon" feeling, I eat one of my Welch's Fruit Snacks. That way, I NEVER get to the pig out/benge mode.
My sleeping habits have improved somewhat. I am usually sleeping before midnight now. I get up at 3:30 and fall back asleep about 4:15, and then am up again for 6:30. Much better that when I was falling asleep around 1-2, getting up at 3:30, going back to sleep around 5, and up again at 6:30.
I have been drinking much more water than usual. I used to only be able to stomach ice cold water if I had just done something like yard work. Now, I can drink a bottle that has been sitting on my desk all day. This is a HUGE improvement. I NEVER used to drink water. I HATED it.
I have thought about goals for 2013. I posted them on the Goals page. I'm sure after I read everyone else's I'll want to steal their ideas and add some more. I was afraid at first of how many I listed, but, most of them are simple. There is no reason I cant complete my list. Right? We'll see.
I plan on staring the Couch 2 5K. I am thinking of starting it on Monday. It looks like it's a three days a week program, every other day, kind of thing. I like the idea of doing it Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Am I incorrect in my assumption?

… I’ve had better…
So this week wasn’t a complete failure, but it could have been better. First, let’s start off with my weekly weigh in for weight watchers. Last week I was 172 and this week’s weigh in was 171.2. That’s a loss of .8 for the week but that puts me at still up 2.6lbs since we started the blog. BUT I’m not going to let that get me down.
My work out’s didn’t quite pan out like I had hoped for the week because I let Christmas non-sense get in the way!

My total miles for this week are 3.83 miles but I’m not hugely disappointed. For the 12/17 jog, the C25K program was: 5 minute walk, 8 minute jog, 5 minute walk, 8 minute jog, 5 minute walk. I am happy to report that for the 2 8 minute jogs I was able to do them nonstop… and not just nonstop, I didn’t feel like I was going to collapse, explode, pass out… I actually feet GREAT!
So, now I’m going to do an update on last week’s blog.
1.) I’m going to the gym today if it kills me! Great success! Went and rocked it!
2.) I am in fact working on my 2013 goals today. Not finished but working on it!
3.) I am joining Nicole in here “5 lbs by January 1”. Down .8, but headed in the right direction.
4.) Be at 5mph for jogging by January 1. 2nd 8 minute interval was at 4.5 mph so I’m getting there!
5.) Make a schedule (see below) for work outs. Make a Plan or Plan to FAIL! My little buddy Anthony was home sick today and I had a hair appointment so I didn’t make todays but I am going to make a MUCH bigger effort this week to stick with the plan with all of the holiday eating that’s coming next Monday and Tuesday! I have to earn some serious weight watcher points!!!
6.) Do an abdominal routine everyday. I’m sick of this gut!!!! it's freakin gross! I didn’t do it every day and my gut is still gross! lol
7.) I am resigning up for weight watchers. I have lost in the past with weight watchers but gave up on it because I just love to eat and I eat too much! I really need to get in check with that if I want to lose 5 pounds by January 1! Working on it although I did go over my points by 9. But not too bad for my first week!!!
8.) I had to put on one of my “FAT” dresses yesterday and it really had me down. While a 14 isn’t a fat dress for some, it’s a fat dress for me. See #1! Sear suckered myself in a pair of 12 slacks…. Wowza! Get on it sista!
9.) I’m super excited that I have Friday off because I get to become Mrs. Johnson OFFICALLY and I get to spend some time with my friend Ambers new ittybitty baby Sophie! OMG! She is so freaking adorable!!!!!!!! No, I don’t have baby fever! I have BOAT fever!
10.)Its 13 day’s until Christmas and I haven’t even started shopping!!!! AH! Shopping is near complete!

FA-Lalalalaaaa.....
After my 1st race (Old Man River 1/2 marathon on 12/18/11) I set a goal to do 12 races in a year. Counting that first race and all of my other races in 2012, That completes my 12 races in a year. Pretty cool to see them all laid out. :) I will be joining in with the group to post my list under the "2013 goals" tab. I have to go over my 2012 list and take off things that I accomplished and add to the goals that were not yet achieved or are simply a work in progress...I will post it by Jan 1st.
Workouts for this week...were sparse! :( I had a planned office Christmas lunch to attend Tuesday which got the ball rolling for me to slack...Then Wednesday, I HAD to get my nails done at lunch. I only made it to the gym 3 days this week. Here is the breakdown:

Goals this week: Get to the gym M-F. I'd also like to get in a run or workout one day this weekend. This weekend will spill into next week bc I have a 1/2 day at wk on Friday and then I have off wk Mon & Tues for the Christmas holidays. During this time off...I hope to keep on schedule and still get in my workouts on those days. It will be tough with needing to get shopping/wrapping done and family/food/fun time but Im hoping for the best.

15 Days til 2013!
Work is SO busy right now. Shouldn't it slow down before the holidays and pick back up in January? I don't think that memo was circulated to my office...
Since I'm busy busy today, here's just a few little thoughts:
1. I am taking part in Nicole's New Years Challenge to lose at least 5 pounds by the end of the year. In it to win it! WOOT! Which means I have 15 days to get this done!
2. My gym bag is packed, my shoes are in my car, and I am heading to the gym after work. #GettinItIn
3. After some serious talking with myself and a holiday attitude adjustment, I'm back on the right track here and motivated. Don't think that today's short post is a sign of things to come. From writing everything I eat to tracking my exercise, I'm all business.
4. Last week's weigh in was so-so. I knew from my exercise and eating that it wasn't going to be a blow out month for me. I'll be posting those results under my page that you can access from the home screen.
5. Whenever I do my measurements I also take pictures. As the weight starts to drop, and I grow some balls, I'll post those photos. I'm not super comfy doing that just yet. But I think within the next 2-3 months I should be feeling better about it.
6. I signed up for a 5k on New Years Day. By signing up and encouraging my friends to sign up, I think we've got a good little group together. I took on this 5k as a challenge to myself to make myself be active on January 1st, a day that I would otherwise use as an excuse to sleep late, pig out at New Years lunch with Adam's family, and otherwise be useless. Whether I had to walk this race alone or with a group, I was doing it. So glad I got others involved too!
7. I am posting my 2013 Goals in just a bit! On the home screen a tab has been created where all of us will post our goals for this coming year. I've been working on my list and I've nailed down some very specific things I want to accomplish in 2013. I'm excited to tackle these tasks and push myself!

What She Said...
Failure. Yep. Sums it up for me too, Steph. I have really slacked when it came to exercise this month. I just don't like the holidays. I hate December. It makes me want to stay in bed all month. I get so depressed. We'll see just how lazy tomorrow morning as I am going to Shannon's to weigh in. I am NOT looking forward to it.
I will not let it get me completely off track though. I have been doing really well with my eating habits. Just because the last few weeks haven't been spectacular doesn't mean I can't start kicking ass now.
I signed up for another 5K. I'm doing the Commitment Day race thing with Shannon. It's on January 1st in City Park. It will be so pretty to walk through. Just hoping to do a little better with this one. Don't really want the pace car passing me up or anything. lol
I need to get my mojo back. I think that once the holidays are over, I'll start feeling better. I just need to get over this!
I need to start keeping a running draft all week long like Shannon does. My entries keep getting shorter and shorter because I forget what I want to write about. I guess that can be another resolution, to keep a daily log of my victories, thoughts, etc.

Failure
So my last work out
was 12/2. That’s 10 days ago. Also, I think today is a weigh in day and I
totally forgot. Lol, guess I’m batting 1000 today! So the things I have to
report and/or working on this week:
1.)
I’m going to the gym today if it kills me! I plan on doing C25K, abs
and legs! I NEED to get back on an AT LEAST MWF plan again. My excuses are over
coming me! I’m SICK AND TIRED OF BEING TIRED ALL THE TIME! i know what i need to do so i need to DO IT! do i want that last bite of food even though i'm stuffed to the gills OR do i want t smoking hot body FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE?!? you would think this would be a no brainer!
