~Stephanie~

Hello ALL readers!! My name is Stephanie and I weigh 168.6lbs! Shew! Now that that’s over, let me tell you about ME!

When I was in high school, I simply didn’t care about looks. I thought the girls who wore makeup and did their hair were dumb. I never really thought of myself as fat or skinny. I was just kind of there. Looking back, I wish that I had cared. I met a guy right outside of high school and we dated for 5 years. During those 5 years there was lots of going to dinner, going to the movies and hanging out at the lake. About 3 years into our relationship I remember being in JCPenny and I refused to come out of the dressing room because the size 10 pants that I tried on didn’t fit. I’ve always been curvy, but had never had a problem with cloths but had been squeezing into my size 6’s for way too long. Toward the end of that relationship there was a lot of “you eat too much” and “you’re getting fat” comments but by then it was too late. I was at about 170lbs.
After the break up, Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. I moved to Oklahoma where there’s nothing to do but drink, so that’s what I did! (On top of fast food and out to dinner every night!) By the end of the year, I weighted about 185lbs. After a VERY frustrating trip to the mall (where the size 18’s were comfortable) I went home in tears. The next day I signed up at a local gym. After 4 months of hard work, I was down to 150! That’s 35 lbs! I was so proud of myself. Shortly after my triumph, I found out I was pregnant with my first son. I didn’t gain much weight and was 160ibs 6 weeks after he was born. I pretty much kept it off until after my second son was born in 2009. After that, it seemed to be a free for all on food. My eating was just like my life, completely out of control.
A turning point in my life came in February of 2011 when I was reunited with the most amazing man a girl could hope for. He loves me big or small. Months before our wedding (9/29/2012) I started walking and jogging with my buddy Nicole. We were doing great and then another freaking hurricane derailed us! Since Isaac, I’ve been back on the EAT EVERYTHING wagon.
It’s time for me to get serious. Do I want to be in shape and be able to have fun with my kids without getting winded, YES! Do I want to motivate and be motivated by friends, YES! Do I want to set a healthy example for my kids and family, YES! Do I want to look and feel sexy, YES! So let’s get this party started eh?! See you on Wednesdays!
