Ain’t No Shame In This Game

So it’s been 2 weeks since I last blogged and things went WAY sour but are looking up. The weekend after I last blogged, I thought I got alcohol poisoning but I really think it was food poisoning.  That made for a pretty miserable week last week but by my birthday on Saturday I was feeling back to 100%. Naturally, I drank more! Lol, had to make sure it wasn’t originally just alcohol poisoning and it wasn’t because I was back to normal by Sunday morning. I do have to apologize to Nicole, I may or may not have been doing some bump n’ grindin on Chad! =)

Aside from having an amazing time with some of my girls and

guys, I also got my own shiny new fancy bike from my wonderful

husband!

As you all know Amanda is doing “some” juicing. By some I mean” full on beast mode, f-you solids! I don’t need your damn texture!” and I think she is dabomb fashigity! After reading some of the links that she has sent us I decided to do the 3 day detox from http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/ . I am currently on day 3 and I must say… I’ve been weak at points, but I’m pretty proud of myself. The first day was pretty discouraging. I had a headache pretty much all day and felt light headed at times. Day 2 I woke up pretty dizzy but as the day went on it went away. This morning I woke up with no dizziness, no headache, but peeing like a racehorse. This is what I’ve eaten so far for these 3 days:

My husband and I watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead last night
and he is considering getting on the juicing train. He, totally
unprompted by me, said that he will have a juice dinner with me
tomorrow night (Wednesday night) and that if he likes it, that he
wants to start incorporating juicing into his schedule. He even
made comment this morning about the kids eating too many
snacks and drinking too many juices (prepackaged) a day.

I guess the only question I have for any juicers out there right now
is, what do you feel two finicky boys that don’t like the juice!?!

  1. Welcome to juicing!! I'm so happy you are doing this too!! I love how you kept track of all of your calories with juicing!! What app is that? Keep us posted if Jackie joins you with the juicing!!

Try incorporating a lot of fruits for the boys but sneak in leafy greens like spinach or kale...spinach is better tasting and it has TONS of health benefits. Hannah and Kinsley drink all the same juices we do so we are lucky but more fruit like pineapple with some leafy greens they might like!! It's worth a shot!!

I'm so happy for you!!! :)

  2. Oh Helll Nah....No apologizes needed I returned the favor by grinding on JJ and whomever else was standing in my area...lol
Its all good..and You know This!! Chad was all..."Oh Hell Its her bday right?? Hold ma cup!" lol So Fun! :D

That is so awesome that JJ wants in on the juice train with you. I NEED to watch this movie AND get a juicer.

As for the kids...Idk I struggle w that too. CJ is picky too. I allow snacks for them (only what I pack...a snack sz bag of chips and either a fruit snack or 3 cookies) at lunch time only.
I try to eliminate the snacking at night, and make them eat dinner earlier 5-6 if possible. Then there not hungry and wanting the snacks. You know my Bell will eat anything so when she requests snacks I make it fruit cups or grapes, a banana, I cut up a whole watermelon so we can just grab and snack on that. As for their dinner...I fix CJ alot of protein (meat, usually grilled chicken) and a side carb (mac n cheese or noodles) but if he asks for more, I allow more of the chicken only and limit the carbs.

As for juices, I only buy the Capri Sun Super Vs now. Which supposedly have 1 serving of fruit/veggies. Figured it was a better option and the kids didn't notice a difference at all.

But CJs got the weight thing going, trying to get control of it now. Your boys don't really have that issue but I guess its still a health issue...
